Milos: The South Shore
This was our second day on Milos. We tried out a few new beaches today. All of them beautiful of course. The first beach we tried to go to was one that we knew you had to climb down a rope ladder to get to it. We reached the parking spot and started looking around for the ladder (or the clear way to get down since we are on cliffs). We couldn't easily find the spot. After a while of searching we found a rock chimney that looked somewhat doable, so of course Chad insisted that he climb down, which he later got stuck in and had to climb back up. We figured out that this is the spot to go down, but they usually have a rope ladder. Chad then climbed down another part and insisted that it was easy and then we would just swim to the beach and hold our stuff up above our heads. I asked if we could look into another beach ; ) So we moved on. The second beach was great; shallow and warm. We played cribbage under the shade of an olive tree. And I tried to put a sea cucumber down Chad's swim trunks, that was pretty funny. Of course this turned into a full on chase. We moved on to another beach in the afternoon and enjoyed more sun and sand. Being Sunday here, most stores and shops are closed, so we had to go out to a restaurant for dinner. But we enjoyed spaghetti sitting right next to the water. Tomorrow we leave for Crete where will be for a few days before heading back to England and then on home!
